Shauna is the best personal trainer I've ever had! She designed my own fitness protocol after meeting me then mapped out a routine that began to challenge me more each week. I consider myself in fairly good shape..I run, bike, hike, ski, blade, squat, crunch and jump rope. I do Zumba, Body Pump, Kickboxing, Yoga, Pilates and more..but, so far I have not had a personal trainer. I have thought of this, but always put in on a back burner. After all, it is quite exhausting doing all this work. Do I see results? Sure..I can wear the same size I did in college, and probably look better as I sleep more and am more concerned with my diet and overall health.

Enter Shauna Grier, you may have seen here around with the pink boxing gloves and big smile. She has a wonderful attitude and a terrific ability to train you in ways that you never even thought of…Basically her philosophy is Fitness, nutrition and balance. Fitness, is that miracle pill we are all looking for to feel young and look great. I am all about that! Building muscle is the best way to accomplish this goal…cardio alone won’t do it (darn!).

Nutrition…what you put into your body makes up 90% of how you look and feel. Our nutritional needs do change “Stay on top of it” says Shauna, “Eat the right type of foods and quantity, starving yourself is not good and avoiding foods and eating non foods doesn't work either.”

Balance..achieving this is difficult many times. “By finding that inner voice, you can create that life you have always wanted” says Grier. Stay physically flexible with stretching and yoga and you will find your approach to day to day occurrences gets more flexible as well. Learning how to roll with things and to say no when needed is freeing and makes for a much happier inner personal life.

Wow! I just want to look and feel great…Shauna is an inspiration as well as a great coach. According to one of her clients, “Shauna may look sweet, but boy she can be tough when needed” I will second that thought. You need to work hard to get results. What a better way to start the 2011 that with a great body and spirit to match!
